Life Sucks!

Well, Brodie thinks so! He's had a wee op on his toe, after splitting the nail lengthways by hooning around like a chook with its head cut off, and sliding on our floors.   The Broddley is feeling sorry for himself after having his toe shaved, the nail cut almost right off and and now he's a conehead! Hahaha!

Favourite Colour(s)

Yippee!  I'm guest designer at Phindy's Challenge Blog this week ! As always the DT have come up with some gorgeous inspiration for you so pop on over and check it out!
 I love these images and got to pick one for this card and off course I couldn't resist this gorgeous Christmas cutie called " Riding Rudolph" which you can purchase  HERE . Phindy has her Christmas images on sale at the moment so check it out.
  This image reminds me of my old boy Bruno lying quietly while the nieces sat on him!

 The challenge is to use your favourite colour. Well, mine changes from time to time but at the moment red is number one , particularly with this shade of blue/green so its my fav combo. The papers are BG Fruitcake from eons ago and I've coloured with copics, punched snowflakes and stickled like crazy and the sentiment is from Catslife Press. I used a spellbinders die for the cut out behind the image, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts (and I've twisted them around the crystal stem...again!)

Lots of Glitter

The challenge this week at Southern Girls is to use glitter. Easy Peasy...except I added stickles to my mushroom house and the red ran! Aaaargggghhhh!  So second attempt I used Sparkly fluff and Diamond dust instead . Hence the chunky bits on my mushroom house.  LOL!  The door is covered in Glossy accents, the fairy who lives in here polishes her door regularly...unlike me, I have dog paw and nose prints on mine!

This cool image is another from Make it Crafty....I love these houses!   

 The paper and flowers are Prima and I've distressed and glittered a doily . Believe it or not I found some cute little mushrooms in my stash.....no idea why I bought them but I found a use for them !!!!

Will Pay You to take Him!!!

Yep! Not just FREE to a good home, we'll give you money as well!!! What has the Brodus done this time you ask? Picture this......  two  friends  around for dinner, Pete provided the leg of lamb which I cooked....no don't get ahead of yourselves, the lamb was safe!  Nestor ( single, cute, Spanish and cooks a mean paella!!!) made a cheesecake which he brought around for dessert. This man is a legend! Anyway, yummy dinner, DIVINE cheesecake, enough left for dessert for several nights...made the mistake of not immediately putting it in the fridge. Hmmmm. Riley was nutting off which he does when Brodie is up to something....I really must pay more attention to the ginga alarm!  Raced out to see paws on the bench and big pink tongue very tidily trimming the side of the cheesecake. He'd trimmed it almost in half the sod!!!!!!!  Hope he felt sick!!!! He didn't eat the biscuit crumb base but looked like he'd sucked all the cream cheese off it!!!!!!!     Cheesecake anyone?

Witchy Gretchen

Great to see the all the entries for our first challenge at Digi's With Attitude!   This week we are showcasing Grumpy Gretchen - Sexy Witch which you can purchase from the shop here.

 This week the challenge is to use the colours orange, green and purple on your project. 

I've used Basic Grey papers from various lines and distressed edges with vintage photo distress ink

I've added green sisal and stamped a swirl on acetate using a SU Baroque Motif stamp,  which I then layered with the papers and image. I've coloured Gretchen with copics. The sentiment is from Digi's With Attitude!

Say hello to Grumpy Gretchen Devil Diva!

This paper is KaiserCraft Utopia and I've used flowers and ribbon from WildOrchid. The cardstock is SU, as is the metal clip holding the ribbon,  and I've used a MS punch to cut out the circle. The copper-embossed fence is a MS punch also. I've coloured Gretchen with copics then chalked the background with my SU chalks.
The sentiment is a Digi's With Attitude! sentiment.

Christmas Cutie

This image is on of Phindy's Christmas cuties, I think she's sooooo cute!    I coloured her with copics, the paper is Basic Grey fruitcake .

I wound some prima flowers around the crystal stem for a different look. The braided trim I coloured with ,c copics, the white trim is random and I used lots of stickles and weathered wood distress ink. The snow is Sparkly Fluff, from crop stop.

Dimensions

Aaaarrrrrgh! I've been trying for days to upload this picture, thinking maybe Blogger was playing silly buggers and not letting me. Gave up this morning and copied the pic over to the laptop and it loaded straight away.  Geeezzzz!
The challenge at Sentimental Sundays is to add dimension and of course, use a sentiment. The image I've used here is a Skogstokiga image, stamped off for me by Tracy. Isn't she cute?!  Didn't put her helmet on though cos it would spoil her hairdo!
 I've cut out the image and popped it up, and also popped up the sentiment which is a Whimsy Stamp.

I coloured this with copics, and the background nestie shape I coloured with a mixture of  distress inks. Papers are Bo Bunny Kitchen Spice, leaves are prima and the crochet flowers came from Bunny Zoe.

We've had a couple of days with no rain and the mud has dried up! Wahooo!!! Guess what the forecast for the weekend is though....more rain!!!!!!!!!!! 
 Brodie is all better after a week of  " poos & spews" , yep , he was a very sick boy and even went in for an X-ray in case he had a tummy full of bits of ball/hats/underwear/magazines/cushions/scrubbing brush.....or whatever else he may have eaten lately!  No obstructions, just a nasty gastroenteritis. You wouldn't think so to see him now though, he's full of beans again!

Recycling time

Time to dig out your broken or junk jewellery and re-use it on a project. This is the challenge this week at Southern Girls.
 I went through a phase of making all my own earrings, bracelets, whatever and have a gazillion bits floating around.  I'm also shocking at losing or breaking one earring and I think someone would notice if I wore two noticeably  different earrings!!!!  So I found a good use for a lonely earring and hung it on my card for a bit of bling! I also added the butterfly charm to finish it off.

Time for christmas

Seems like everyone thinks its time to make christmas cards so here's my first!  The gorgeous  image is a skogstogika digi . My friend Tracy has just bought some rubber stamps from this company and has stamped off a few images for me to play with....can't wait! I started off colouring this image and then trying to find papers to match. Hmmmph! Wont do that again as I wasn't happy with anything! So I picked my papers then recoloured another copy of the image!
Anyway, my card is made using Basic Grey Fruitcake , papers I've had forever! I love these colours together.  I've coloured with copics , punched out snowflakes and plastered stickles everywhere. The background is a marianne's die I got from Bunny Zoes. The sentiment is from Catslife Press.

Fairy House

This is my favourite of the digi houses from Make it Crafty. It took a while to colour but it was soooo much fun!  A real regression session ! I think I printed it a bit too big, so there's not much room for anything else on the card and it covered all that yummy Prima Fairy Flora paper! Silly me.
 The flowers are prima, ribbon and leaves and dew drops from my stash. The photo doesn't show it but I used lots of glossy accents on the fairy house. The background is chalked with SU chalks and a stipple brush.

Little Winner

OK, have been witing to take a decent photo of the boy and his ribbon, but it just aint gonna happen so here is the gingaroo  with the ribbon he won last Sunday at an agility champ show!  First place, no faults and a really good, fast time! My boy is so clever!!!!!  Considering the grounds were a bog and we had mud up to our eyebrows, I didn't expect much of him, he doesn't even like getting wet, let alone muddy!
Brodie on the other hand, got into the ring and proceeded to lie down in the mud! Arrrgghh! And he was disqualified for not completing his round, he had nose to the ground , just too busy to listen to mum!

Moving house?

I found some cool images at Make it Crafty, and had so much fun colouring them! This is the boot-house. I used copics and added some glossy accents on the windows and door and drainpipe.  I've used my new Prima Fairy Flora 6x6 pad for this  card. Great that all these companies are starting to make 6x6 pads for us card makers!

Flowers are from WildOrchid, grungepaper swirl (coloured with DI) is a Tim Holtz die and I've added a few dew drops. Cardstock is SU, which I've distressed and inked with wild honey and weathered wood.  Sentiment is computer generated.
