Blog Hop Time!

Its Isabella's Challenge time again and this week our challenge to YOU is to do a card with an Isabella image with the theme "Anything Goes" !!! You can do whatever you like!
The Design Team is having our first ever blog hop using a special image designed by Isabella for the hop.

This is a "circular blog hop" where the beginning is wherever you start!! You will know you are at the end of the blog hop when you've come back to the blog you've started from!
There will be NINE winners who will be chosen at random from comments left on the Design Team
blogs (each commenter has the opportunity to win more than one image depending on how many blogs they visit).
None of the Design Team will know who the winners are until the hop is over. We will have our hop open until Friday july 2nd at 8pm. The winners will be announced on Saturday.
Have fun and enjoy the hop! Your next hop is over to Linda P and be sure to keep hopping and leaving comments along the way (the more comments, the more chance of winning) until you've come back to where you started!

I have used Basic Grey paper that I've had forever, lace I've had forever, flowers & bling from Prima, and leaves from my stash. The image from Isabella is Faith-Lemons and I've coloured with copics.

Black & White plus one!

This  week at Karens Doodles UK the challenge is to use Black & White plus one other colour ( though you can use skin tones too on your colouring!).
I had to use this image from Karens Doodles , having a motorbike mad partner . When he saw it he said" Is that a granny on a bike?" Hmmmm.  Powers of observation somewhat lacking in this instance! LOL!
I chose red to use , motorbikes, red , fast, it just goes doesn't it?  Having said that , the fastest bike in our shed is green , then the orange one...... anyway, that aside, here is my card! Pop on over to the challenge blog to see what my teamies have done and join in the challenge. Go on, you can do it...great digi images as prizes!
Paper is a mix of Kaiser craft and Basic Grey. I've run some cardstock through the cuttlebug with a new Tim Holtz embossing folder, doesn't show all that well here but the textures are amazing with these folders!

I'm entering this in Digi Doodle- Anything goes
                            Fresh Brewed- Anything goes

Summer Fun

Summer means picnics right?  And picnics mean ants right?  Would be just my luck!   I love this image from Isabella's Sketchbook and decided I had to use it somewhere, so my card for this weeks challenge of Summer Fun at Isabellas Challenge blog  had to be ant picnic!   I've used Kaisercraft Lilac avenue paper, various flowers and leaves from my stash, and some dew drops. I've coloured with copics and distressed with weathered wood and milled lavender distress inks. The sentiment is from Whimsy ....I think!
My teamies at Isabellas have cooked up some awesome cards again this week so why not hop on over to our challenge blog and check them out!  Remember, to enter our challenge you need to use an Isabella's image and she has so many beautiful images to choose from.

I'm also entering this card in Stamptacular Sunday- Cute as a bug
                                            Daisy Doodle- Summertime

Tag it!

This week at Karens Doodles UK the challenge is to tag it!  You could make a tag or as I have done, use a tag on your card.
The paper I have used is some of my fav christmas papers, Basic Gray Wassail.  The sentiment stamp I ordered from Catslife Press after seeing them on some of the lovely Tammi's cards at Tropical dreams. I  love them! Flowers are from Tracy...thanks Trace!
This image is a digital image " Christmas puppy" from Karens Doodles.   She has some really cute images, including some fab doggie ones  and is now selling some of her stamps in rubber for those who have to have rubber!

Dad's Turn!

I'm sure these are a bit harder, you can't bling & pretty these cards up , so I always like to throw in the distressing and distress inks.  Makes them more manly right? Messy? Rough? LOL!
This weeks challenge at Isabellas Sketchbook is to make a card honouring fathers. Our fathers day in NZ isn't till September but it never hurts to be prepared!
I've used Kaisercraft Rewind paper, buzz & bloom chipboard lettering, SU cardstock, EK success border punch and some twine from my stash. This cute digi image from Isabella's Sketchbook is coloured with copics.
I'm entering this in Totally Gorjuss- one for the boys

In the Summertime...I wish!

Its winter for us...wish I could hibernate for three months !  The challenge at Karen's Doodles UK is " In the summertime" and I've used butterfy girl from Karen's Doodles digi shop. The paper I have used is Kaisercraft Peachy Keen, with SU ribbon, cardstock and sentiment.

I'm entering this in the Quirky Crafts Challenge- Summer

Summertime is definitely more fun with 4 dogs. Wet dogs and muddy paws .....gonna have to train them all to wipe their paws before they come inside. At least there's no carpet in the doggy areas of the house!

Pink Poodles?!!!!

I made this card with a friend in mind who has 5 poodles and loves pink and would have a pink poodle if they came in that colour! LOL! This card is for the Meljen challenge which is Sparkle, glitter, bling. Not that easy to see but the paper is sparkled already and I've used Rock Candy stickles on the heart and bow...doesn't really show in the photo though. The paper is K & Co , the swirl is Tim Holtz and the heart is MS punch, coloured with tattered rose distress ink. The sparkly mesh I bought in an emporium in Auckland.
You can purchase some cute dog digis from Meljens Designs. I had to have them all of course! Tee hee!

Sketch for Isabella!

This week at Isabella's Challenge blog we have a sketch for you to follow.  I struggled with this one...this is about the third variation cos I wasn't happy! LOL!   The paper is Bo Bunny, I've coloured my ice cream Sundae ( from Isabella's Sketchbook) with copics then glazed with glossy accents.  Ribbon is SU, flowers are punched and from my stash.
Why don't you join us in this challenge , the prize is two free digis from Isabellas Sketchbook and the gorgeous " I won" badge, and she has so many lovely images to choose from!  But don't forget, you must use an Isabella image on your card.

I've been home from work today, with a particularly nasty cold, so not really inspired to do anything, but I guess we can't always be 100%. The dogs are a bit stir-crazy cos there's been no walk today   :(

Sketch Time Again

This week at Karens Doodles UK challenge we are following a sketch .  This time I have used movie girl from Karens Doodles web shop .
The paper I have used is Prima ( I LOOOOVE this paper! ) and I've used prima and punched  flowers, and random leaves. The cardstock, sentiment and ribbon is SU.  And of course I've coloured with copics and glazed the popcorn & drink containers with glossy accents.

I spent the weekend with 3 friends at a fantastic conference called " Smarter Trainers, Better Dogs" .   I'm sure I'm much smarter now and have BIG PLANS for Brodie the Terminator!Heehee...we've already started.
We had a great weekend, met lots of people and saw lots of people we already knew, drank a bit too much, ate WAY too much ,spent lots , it was FUN!!!! Till we drove home from Wellington on Sunday night, through drizzle rain, wind, thunder, lightning and torrential downpours. What a night!

PS   like my new signature?  Its custom designed by Ann ( Raindropecho) at Whimsy stamps!

My Image for the week!

Last week I won the PCP Isabella challenge so I got this freebie image ( mine alone)  to work with . It will be available at Isabellas Sketchbook soon, but until then its MINE!  Tee hee!
Well, everyone put the pressure on me cos I had to create a card for this weeks challenge, using this image and I've been sweating just thinking about it! LOL! Not really, but they've been dropping big hints!
Anyway, I took the day off today, feeling like crap with a nasty cold.  Didn't really feel like creating either but sometimes you just gotta do it!
The sketch to follow was created by Linda, nice and simple and I managed to make it busy!

The paper is Cosmo cricket, I just love this paper and I think I've kept all the scraps every time I've used it. The punch is MS, I've used some SU ribbon, and prima flowers.
I'm entering this in some other  challenges ( hope I'm allowed to Linda!)
Craftilicious- New ( my image!)

Black & White

The reason I couldn't make my last weeks Isabella card black & white ( country colours) is because that is this weeks challenge! Hehe!
This week we want you to use black & white and only your image may have colour. I chose the bowl of apples from Isabellas Sketchbook as I though the red apples would look perfect on this background.   I've used SU paper & sentiment, cuttlebug corners , nestie tag and oval , random flower & ribbon, glossy accents on my apples.
Don't forget, you need to use an Isabella's image. If you haven't checked out her shop, head on over, she has the most divine images!
I'm also entering this in Crafty Creations- black, white & red
                             Penny's Challenges-fruit and/or veggie
                            Daisy Doodles- anything goes
Allsorts- Black & white & one other

How distressed can you get?

First of all, its sale time at Karens Doodles! Karen has a new website with automatic download of images!
Time to get ripping and slapping on distress inks!  Karens Doodles UK challenge this week  is to distress it.
I've used Graduation Doggie from Karens Doodles , Collections paper , and thrown on some prima flowers & pearls, distressed with vintage photo distress ink and distress stickles which I LOVE. I used my new nesties to cut out the tag and background for the dog.

I almost just gave some paper & cardstock to Brodie with instructions to distress it...but he goes a bit far!  I made some coasters ages ago, with photos of my fur babies on them, and sealed with lacquer. Well, Brodie has eaten two of them, first Patrick the Cat coaster, now today Riley the red ted coaster.  Aaaargggh!
I'm entering this in the ABC challenge- V is for vintage

Yay for punches!

Sassy Cheryl's challenge this week is to use punches.  I've had this image of hers for a while and been dying to colour it. I got this Bo Bunny paper the other day (...no I haven't been buying...not really...not much anyway.......!!! ) so decided now was the time!   Love these colours.  The punches are MS & SU and have used a nestie as well.   The cardstock is SU and I've coloured with copics, distressed with old paper & weathered wood inks , and finished the buttons with glossy accents. The butterfly is from my stash.
The sentiment is from Raindropecho at Whimsy Stamps. The swirl is a cuttlebug die.

Memorial Day

Isabella's sketch book challenge time and its memorial day, or celebrate  the start of summer, in your country's colours. OK, memorial day is not something we celebrate here but as the challenge states, its how you would celebrate Memorial day or the start of summer . Its  a patriotic theme, memorial cards of any type  but with your country's colors. Now, our flag is red white & blue , but we don't really identify with these colours here in NZ. Our sports teams all wear black and / or white.  I almost went all white but then decided to add some flag colours too! And the start of summer...traditionally spent at the beach!  The image is a cutey from Isabellas Sketchbook. That was me in my childhood, I grew up living at the beach, in a beautiful spot in Hawkes Bay, called Mahia Beach .
I've coloured with copics, flowers and buttons are random and cardstock & ribbon is SU .  Pop on over to the challenge blog to see what my wonderful talented teamies have done, and why not join in the challenge. Isabella gives the challenge winner two free digis from her shop and her images are beautiful!
I'm entering this in the Cute Daisy May challenge- as you like it.
                           Sew Many Challenges- anything goes

Its Karens Doodles UK challenge time and this week its buttons & bows.   This image is Butterfly baby boy and he is available from Karens Doodles.  She has so many cute digi images to play with.

I'm entering this in Creative Craft Challenge- ribbons & bows

Its wet here , dogs are going a bit stir crazy.  Got home from work last night to see another cushion in the rubbish bin. That makes 4 now that Brodie has "terminated" !!!!!  Why DH lets him into the lounge in the first place I don't know! He gets absorbed in whatever he's doing with the laptop and Brodie waltzes off with another treasure to remodel!!!!! Aaaarrrggghh!

Buttons!

The challenge this week is to use buttons.  I've had these for ages, found them at a quilting shop and never  found a use for them till now! Well, there's something buzzing around ted's nose, maybe its a flying button!  The paper, card  and ribbon are SU .  The image is of course a Sassy Cheryl digi which you can find here.
