Starbright!

The challenge over at the sugar bowl is a sketch, and include some stars. Have used this manga boy for the first time since buying him, the paper is BG Boxer, sentiment is SU and the rest is random. Have coloured with copics...of course! LOL!

Meljen

Found another great digi artist over at Papercraft planet - Meljens designs. This is the first cutie I've coloured, and used some of my Kaisercraft Devonshire papers. The embellies all come from the same range, except the heart which is a MS punch I borrowed from Tracy. Ta Trace! I had plans on colouring all day, but the lure of cupcakes and coffee dragged me around to Tracy's and then we went to the movies to see Alice in Wonderland. Pretty cool!
Thought I'd enter this in the Secret Crafter Saturday challenge- anything goes! Well, that's easy!

Sweet Pea

I ordered these stamps a while ago but they never arrived and the lovely Lynette at Sweet Pea Stamps re-pressed and re-sent them to me . Thank you so much!
Here is my first sweetpea card for the challenge which is to scream spring,  use yellow, green & pink , and use flowers. Think I got that covered!  The image is a ching-chou kuik , so much fun to colour! Flowers are prima, paper is K & Co Wild Raspberry.

Poor Teddy

Yes, my clothesline looks like this sometimes....with dog teddies!  Though I must admit there aren't many looking too good these days, Brodie has gutted most of them. Poor Riley loves his Teddies...most of them are roadkill now and none seem to have any ears left :(
This cute image is a Sassy Cheryl , she has a great group over on PaperCraft Planet and this was a freebie for members of the group.  I have made this card for challenge number two over at Sassy Cheryl Challenge Blog , following a great sketch from Tracy. The paper is KaiserCraft Rewind.

Home again

It was a big weekend at a Dog Training Seminar for Brodie & I and it turns out he's not really a delinquent!  In fact he is apparently  " an AWESOME dog" !!!! Lots of hints from this couple who live, breathe, train and compete with 10 dogs!
Had a class with Tracy on Saturday night, fairly quiet so had time to play at colouring some digis.  This image is  a Sassy Cheryl and the card is for several challenges;
  Quixotic Challenge: Use leaves
A Spoonful of Sugar: use beads
Dare U 2 Digi: use pearls and a digi image
I've used Kaisercraft paper, prima flowers and coloured my sassy with copics.

Sassy Challenge

Finally the first challenge for Sassy Cheryl is up and running and we have to use green!  Tried a different shade of green than usual...hmmmm....not sure but might be a bit dark. The paper is prima , Trace gave it to me eons ago.  Isn't this image so sassy?
I've been busy buying so many images lately but haven't got around to doing anything with them! Hopefully that'll change over the next few days, no work again till Tuesday. Yahoo!!
We're having a training seminar at dog obedience this weekend and I have been asked to bring Brodie. I think he's supposed to be the example of a delinquent adolescent for the training gurus to tame! Tee hee...poor Brodiebum just gets so excited with all those other doggies around!  At the moment he's squished into a little poodle bed again.

Wahooo!!

Just found out last night that I made the DT for Karen's Doodles UK!  Did NOT expect that!   This is a massive undertaking with challenge blogs starting at the same time in other countries ( Congrats Trace!) and I can't wait to get started.  Karen has some really cute digi images which can be found on her blog here.  Have just been wandering around my fellow DT members blogs, a bunch of very talented ladies!

Busy Busy

This Prima  paper is gorgeous IRL, just found it a WEEEE bit hard to make a card with....think I might have gone overboard! It looks kinda busy.... it must be that girl with the paintbrush's fault!  I have all these new yummy prima flowers but couldn't use any on this cos it was TOOOOOO MUUUUCHH!
Anyway the stamp is a Kraftin Kimmie image called Lola Da Vinci. The challenge at Kraftin Kimmie is to use buttons & bows, and CCT is ribbon-tastic.
Off to snuggle with my boys ( four-legged hairy ones, as the two-legged one is at work tonight) and relax with a book now I think.

How shabby is that!

The challenge at The Sugar Bowl this time is a sketch including shabby chic.  I've had these MME papers for ages and they are so perfect for this theme. Coloured with distress inks again...you know...shabby equals distressed!  Used  a Gorjuss girl  this time for a change.
Hope no-one is eating, but I just had to clean a poodle bum...not a particularly pleasant experience I tell you.  This boy is having his butt shaved tomorrow, kling-ons in the curls are so hard to extract!

We went!

Yes, we did go to training! I feel so virtuous! Well...apart from all the housework that needs doing but I just can't bring myself to attend to...!
This card is for several challenges. I've used some yummy SU textured paper and my new Manga Coffee time and made an easel card this time. I've watercoloured with distress inks, and used distress stickles on my flowers.
The sketch is from Papertake Weekly,
A Spoonful of Sugar challenge to use Distress Inks, pearls & glitter
 An easel card for everybody-art-challenge

At Long Last!

Finally got time to play with a digi or two today...but haven't achieved much else ! This is another Sassy Cheryl image and the paper is BG origins. I have followed a sketch for Create 4 Fun.

I have results to send in to the Kennel club, house to tidy, washing to fold, lawns to mow......sigh!Can't be bothered! Can I be bothered to take Riley to training tonight? Nah! But I should....but will I ? Watch this space!

Too busy

Haven't done much in the way of cardmaking this week, our big dog show is this weekend and I've been stressed out!!! First , our club secretary forgot to order the sponsors product for prizes, thankfully they did a rush job for us and it has arrived. Secondly the sashes haven't been finished yet!!!!! They were ordered 6 weeks ago! Luckily one of our competitors is coming from that neck of the woods so she will be bringing them for us! Can't wait till Monday and its all over!
Anyway this card is for a number of challenges. I love these colours together, and I've used some scraps of SU paper for this. The image is one of Mo's Digis.I've coloured with copics, added some glossy accents to the flowers and used my new grass fibre from Meyer Imports. Its so cool!
 Papertake Weekly  - gingham/checks
 Spoonful of Sugar- spring
Dare U 2 Digi- use punches
Crafty Creations- stitching

A bit girly!

Don't know if I like this, not really my colours!  Anyway, had to use this image, its another Sassy Cheryl, and they are so cute!!!  The sketch is for Create 4 Fun, and I've used some older SU papers ( aren't I good?), SU card, ribbon and sentiment, an EK success border punch, Tracy's MS heart punch, Prima bling and of course my copics! Speaking of which , I have been making an MDF holder for my copics, with plenty of room for extras. Nothing like wood, jigsaws, levels, nails, and glue for a bit of therapy! LOL! Tracy tells me that after I have perfected it I can make her one too.....!!!!???!!! We shall see.....

Sugar Bowl

Tiets has a sketch for this weeks challenge over at the Sugar Bowl. She does amazing cards and I love using her sketches!  I've used one of my new Sugar Nellie images, they are so cute.  The paper I've had for ages, its K & Co I think! Can also enter this in the Doodle Palace challenge which is lots of layers!

Blue & Green

Michelle Perkett has a new challenge, to use one of her digis and  create a card in blues & greens.  This is the first time I've got around to using this digi I bought a while ago , I have been busy with dog show stuff....now it is almost out of the way I'm finding it hard to talk myself into sitting inside and creating. It is so nice outside , tho a bit humid after the rain we had yesterday.
The card & paper is all SU and flowers are Prima, and I've coloured with copics...of course! Have just ordered more copics...sssh , don't tell Tracy I've been spending again!

Rain!

We haven't had rain for ages, so its great for the garden! And its still warm so I'm not complaining.  Won't feel so bad stuck at the computer compiling the catalogue for our show coming up!
I managed to sneak some me time last night and made a card or two for challenges.  This one is following a sketch on Friday Sketchers challenge and using monochrome tones of 1 colour  and white for secret crafter Saturday challenge.  This a lot of purple! The image is one of my new Sugar Nellie Mangas, coloured with copics.  The paper is all Kaisercraft, and the cardstock & sentiment are SU.

Nuther Sassy

I Love these Sassy Cheryl digis, decided I had to use another one.  She has a sale on  for today only so why don't you head on over! Cardstock & ribbon are SU . Am still using scraps of Cosmo Cricket paper. Maybe I need to go shopping.....
This card is for the CCT challenge, using spots & dots and Stamp With Us: A Thank You card, using something SU.

Brodie had a fun playdate yesterday with Solomon who is a real waterbaby Golden retriever and Brodie learned how to cool down by plonking himself down in the paddling pool. We finally have a dog who uses the pool for more than just standing in and drinking out of! Here is a pic of Brodie last night, too tired to do much else but keep me company while I made my card. Pity he chose Riley's bed to rest in ! Maybe I need to dot some of his beds around the house too.
