Anything goes

This week at Southern Girls we're having an " anything goes " challenge. Prizes will be from Deb's Creations and from Lou & Tracy .

Deb from Deb's Creations has supplied the DT with one of her Emerald Faeries to play with for this challenge. I've used Ally & Beeble, I love this image! I've coloured with copics and stickled the wings.
I've used prima paper, lace & ribbon from Wild Orchid, flowers and charm from Make it Crafty ( thanks Zoe!)  , the friendship sentiment is from Catslife Press, and the Precious ticket tag is from Bearly Mine.
I'm entering this in Moving along with the times- Anything goes but NO christmas cards!

I'm a colour Addict!!!!

Wooohooo!  I've been asked by the amazingly wonderful Zoe of Make it Crafty, to join her fabulously talented design team!  Did I say yes? Well actually, I gulped and said " you sure?" or something like it! hehehe!  I've been playing with Zoe's images for a while now and I adore them, so versatile, and the background images can be used for SOOOOOOO many things! So of course I had to say yes please!

Now keep an eye on the new challenge blog  Make it Colourful, we'll be starting sometime in the new year with some fun challenges for you and some awesomely fantastic creations from the talented DT...and me! LOL!

We all had to provide a pic of ourselves as kids and I couldn't decide which of the following to use but went with the dog theme in the end! OF COURSE! Check out that supercool Bedford van in the colour pic..we all ( 5 kids)  used to pile in the back with the old lab Pete and trundle off down the road and it must've looked hilarious when Dad would screech to a holt, the back doors would fly open and we'd tumble out. Yep, Pete had gas problems! !! That dog could clear a room in seconds! ROTFLMAO!

Happy Birthday Old Tart!

My old girl Abbie is a grand 13 years old ( well yesterday was the birthday  but I was working and decided to treat them all today instead!) . She's deaf, a bit stiff in her hips and likes to bark at nothing but she's still got a spring in her trot. The highlight of her day is being lifted into the car for a drive out to the dog-training club so she can toddle around the green looking for dropped treats from the classes the night before! Then she sleeps most of the day , of course! Hehehe!
Happy Birthday baby girl!   And no, she isn't stuck to the wall, blogger keeps turning the pic sideways!  Arrrgh!   Ohhh, figured out if you rotate it sideways it comes out the right way around! How ridiculous!

Last Chrissy Card- I hope

Thought I was organised but I was one card short, so thought I'd better quickly make one . I  decided to use this new image from Isabella's Sketchbook, that I bought a few weeks ago. The paper is new also, its Kaisercraft  Tis the Season and I love the colours .   OK, I've never seen a green santa before but maybe he has other outfits hidden in his wardrobe! Ha!
The swirl I cut from cardstock with my silhouette ( I plan on playing with that baby over the christmas break if I can find the time!)  and I painted it with Tim Holtz crackle paint. The gems are prima, ribbon and stick pin from my stash and the poinsettia flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
I'm entering this in Paper Sundaes - Cut it out!
and Stampin for the Weekend - Christmas
     Papertake Weekly- anything goes

I decided he looked great in blue for a change, as I really wanted to use this Bo Bunny paper I've had sitting here begging to be used. I love these colours!  I used flowersoft on the fur bits, punched snowflakes, flowers from Wild Orchid and nesties for the frame.

Why don't you join in the challenge with us, the theme is Anything Christmas.

Vintage Birdies

Ok, not the most obvious choice for a vintage card but I think it works! The challenge this week at Southern Girls is to create something vintage. Whimsy stamps is one of the sponsors this time around so I've used Meljens birdhouse and flowers for my card. Fairly simple, the paper is K & Co, the doily  and lace are from my stash and I've distressed edges and stickled everywhere and the flowers are covered in Rock Candy distress stickles  so they're really crunchy!
Our second sponsor for this challenge  is Mad 4 Markers.

Now head on over to the Southern Girls challenge blog and check out the other GORGEOUS creations from my teamies and join in our challenge!

I'm entering this in Sugar Sweet paper Treats- Anything goes

About time I finished this....

OK, I started this card weeks ago, planning on posting with our Southern Girls challenge but time just got away and it sat in pieces....            :(      . This cool Santa is from Make it Crafty and I love Zoe's images! I punched out the snowflakes and stickled them . I used a quickutz( I think!) die for the scroll and the ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is SU as, is the cardstock. The paper is Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather.

I've just noticed Santa has a bleeding thumb! Well obviously I did this on purpose in sympathy for my DH who managed to chop the end off his finger at work last week! EEEK!   I must admit I thought he'd be more of a MALE patient and play on it but so far so good!
On the good front, Vinnie has had most of his teeth out and he's happy little old self again now he's got rid of them nasty painful stinky things!

I'm entering this card in Sentimental Sundays- Let it snow, plus a sentiment

Animals With Attitude!

Move over Gretchen, the animals are here for their chance in the spotlight!
I  chose to use Napoleon from Digi's With Attitude ! this week. He sure has some attitude! I've coloured him with copics and glossy accented his nose & eyes.

+

The paper is Apple Cider from Imaginisce, the flower is a Marianne die and the swirly bits are my very first play with my new Silhouette SD cutter!  Woohooo!  I love it!   Sentiment is computer generated.
Now whip on over to the Digi's With Attitude! Challenge and why not join in. The only requirement this week is that you use a digital image...how easy is that?!

Metal Phindy

I've made a card that isn't a DT card....OMG! Not much of THAT happening at the moment.
It is coming into summer here in NZ and we're having beautiful hot sunny days and I want to get out in the garden or out with the dogs.  However, the dogs are looking for cool spots right now...Abbie & Brodie keeping me company at the computer! Talk about a pile of puppies! For once Brodie is leaving Abbie alone and not hassling her to play.
Golden Pile-up

My card is for Phindy's Challenge, using a phindy image and some metal (photo frame corners and flower brad which I've coloured with copics as it was silver). I love these Mrs Comfy images from Phindy, that's one huge dog she has!
Paper is Scribble Scrabble I think, ribbon is SU, button from a local shop and the MS punched border has a BG paper border stuck on top.

The paper is a mix of kaisercraft and K & Co, the hearts, tulle and crystal stem from my stash. The lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts. Its a pretty simple card this week!

Cheers!

The challenge this week at Digi's With Attitude ! is to make a card for your favourite sports team or for someone who loves sports. The image we've used is Grumpy Gretchen- cheerleader which you can purchase HERE.
I started off thinking I would do a card for one of our national teams ie Black &/or White....but then as I was playing with paper I thought, why not my favourite sport....dog agility!!  Go Hawera Dog Training! Burgundy and black are our colours and our dogs are multicoloured!
Yes I run two poodles and a golden retriever and I get wisecracks about both...but then we all tease each other about our choice of breed!  We have so much fun when we all travel to a show, camp or motel together, cheer each other on ,  play with each others dogs...bliss!!!! I think we need a team of cheerleaders
now!

The poodle is off a key chain that fell to pieces so thought I would recycle it. The paper is Kaisercraft, the swirl is a Marianne diecut, ribbon is from my stash and of course I've coloured with copics.
Time to head on over to the challenge blog and check out these girls with Attitude , and why not join in !

Favourite Colour(s)

This week at Southern Girls we are challenging you to use your favourite colour. How hard is that? Well, damned hard actually cos my fav changes from day to day! But  I'm an earth colour girl at heart as you may have noticed and this is one of my favourite colour combos. Olive green soothes me! LOL!  And of course what better colours to use with this fantastic image from the talented Zoe at  Make it Crafty who is one of our sponsors this fortnight. I love her quirky house images!
I went a bit crazy with my viva pearl pens and decorated the white flowers around the edges....whaddya think?
The paper is BG Pyrus, the flowers & leaves from my stash, and the flower centres are Prima and the ribbon I recycled off a birthday pressie and that's about it!
My teamies have used some of Zoe's other images but this is one I bought some time ago and I think its my fav so far, or maybe the mushroom, or maybe the boot house...........!!!! Hop on over to the challenge blog to see some amazing work as always!
Our second sponsor is Scrapbook Outlet for NZ & Aus entrants in the challenge.

Girls can do anything!

Gretchen is a woman-of -all-trades!
This week at Digi's With Attitude! Challenge we have a recipe for you to follow  and we have used Grumpy Gretchen Mechanic which you can purchase for the Digi's With Attitude! Store.
Recipe is easy peasy
- 2 patterned papers
- 1 ribbon
- use Sparkle!!!!

I've used some Bo Bunny papers and coloured with copics. The ribbon is from my stash, the flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pin is from Bunny Zoe. I've added Stickles Diamond to everything for some sparkle. OK, kinda girly I spose but she's in overalls so we have to balance it out somehow! LOL!

Head on over to the challenge blog , we have a load of fab cards there from the DT and our 4 wonderful GDT!

I'm entering this in Cute Card Thursday- Anything goes

Life is Great!!!!

OK, my mum has to be the bestest! Not only did she take that thing off my head cos she knew she could trust me not to lick my toe (" hahaha" evil doggie laugh!) but she took me for a playdate with my bestest buddy Solly on Saturday and we had FUN!!!!! Life is good, life is great, now I just gotta convince the cat that a game of chase would be hilarious!    Luv & licks, Brodie.

Yee Haaa!!

Howdy there pardners! Time for another Digi's With Attitude! challenge and this week we see the release of Grumpy Gretchen Cowgirl. The theme this week is " Anything Western" .  Quite a challenge for me ......hmmmm!
Cindy-Lynn will be releasing several images every week so there are loads more Digi's With Attitude appearing. Check them out HERE

I've used some Tim Holtz Retro papers here and cut out the stars from a sheet. The Howdy paper was a freebie from somewhere ...sorry, can't remember where I found it!  I've distressed edges and inked with vintage paper  distress ink, and glittered over that with stickles. The bling is prima, the eyelets are SU  and the string is some I just happened to have lying around.
I've coloured Gretchen with copics as usual.

Please take note that Digi's With Attitude! is now offering a $10.00 gift certificate for every winner (to a max of 4) EVERY WEEK!   Pop on over to the challenge blog and check out what  the rest of the DT plus 4 guest designers have created.

Life Sucks!

Well, Brodie thinks so! He's had a wee op on his toe, after splitting the nail lengthways by hooning around like a chook with its head cut off, and sliding on our floors.   The Broddley is feeling sorry for himself after having his toe shaved, the nail cut almost right off and and now he's a conehead! Hahaha!

Favourite Colour(s)

Yippee!  I'm guest designer at Phindy's Challenge Blog this week ! As always the DT have come up with some gorgeous inspiration for you so pop on over and check it out!
I love these images and got to pick one for this card and off course I couldn't resist this gorgeous Christmas cutie called " Riding Rudolph" which you can purchase  HERE . Phindy has her Christmas images on sale at the moment so check it out.
This image reminds me of my old boy Bruno lying quietly while the nieces sat on him!

The challenge is to use your favourite colour. Well, mine changes from time to time but at the moment red is number one , particularly with this shade of blue/green so its my fav combo. The papers are BG Fruitcake from eons ago and I've coloured with copics, punched snowflakes and stickled like crazy and the sentiment is from Catslife Press. I used a spellbinders die for the cut out behind the image, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts (and I've twisted them around the crystal stem...again!)

Phindy also has a huge celebration going on with all sorts of extra fun events happening over at PaperCraft Planet  which you can also read about at Phindy's Blog  .

So come on , have some fun !!!
