Dimensions

Aaaarrrrrgh! I've been trying for days to upload this picture, thinking maybe Blogger was playing silly buggers and not letting me. Gave up this morning and copied the pic over to the laptop and it loaded straight away.  Geeezzzz!
The challenge at Sentimental Sundays is to add dimension and of course, use a sentiment. The image I've used here is a Skogstokiga image, stamped off for me by Tracy. Isn't she cute?!  Didn't put her helmet on though cos it would spoil her hairdo!
I've cut out the image and popped it up, and also popped up the sentiment which is a Whimsy Stamp.
I coloured this with copics, and the background nestie shape I coloured with a mixture of  distress inks. Papers are Bo Bunny Kitchen Spice, leaves are prima and the crochet flowers came from Bunny Zoe.

We've had a couple of days with no rain and the mud has dried up! Wahooo!!! Guess what the forecast for the weekend is though....more rain!!!!!!!!!!!
Brodie is all better after a week of  " poos & spews" , yep , he was a very sick boy and even went in for an X-ray in case he had a tummy full of bits of ball/hats/underwear/magazines/cushions/scrubbing brush.....or whatever else he may have eaten lately!  No obstructions, just a nasty gastroenteritis. You wouldn't think so to see him now though, he's full of beans again!

Recycling time

Time to dig out your broken or junk jewellery and re-use it on a project. This is the challenge this week at Southern Girls.
I went through a phase of making all my own earrings, bracelets, whatever and have a gazillion bits floating around.  I'm also shocking at losing or breaking one earring and I think someone would notice if I wore two noticeably  different earrings!!!!  So I found a good use for a lonely earring and hung it on my card for a bit of bling! I also added the butterfly charm to finish it off.

This image is Sitting Penny from Digital Delights who also happen to be one of the sponsors for this weeks challenge. Also sponsoring a prize is Embellish It , for NZ or Aussie entrants.
I've used Echo Park papers and painted the edges with weathered wood crackle paint. The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts and the sentiment is from Catslife Press.
I'm entering this in Digital Tuesday- All about the girls and a digi stamp

Now pop on over to the challenge blog and see what my fab teamies have dreamed up!

Time for christmas

Seems like everyone thinks its time to make christmas cards so here's my first!  The gorgeous  image is a skogstogika digi . My friend Tracy has just bought some rubber stamps from this company and has stamped off a few images for me to play with....can't wait! I started off colouring this image and then trying to find papers to match. Hmmmph! Wont do that again as I wasn't happy with anything! So I picked my papers then recoloured another copy of the image!
Anyway, my card is made using Basic Grey Fruitcake , papers I've had forever! I love these colours together.  I've coloured with copics , punched out snowflakes and plastered stickles everywhere. The background is a marianne's die I got from Bunny Zoes. The sentiment is from Catslife Press.

Fairy House

This is my favourite of the digi houses from Make it Crafty. It took a while to colour but it was soooo much fun!  A real regression session ! I think I printed it a bit too big, so there's not much room for anything else on the card and it covered all that yummy Prima Fairy Flora paper! Silly me.
The flowers are prima, ribbon and leaves and dew drops from my stash. The photo doesn't show it but I used lots of glossy accents on the fairy house. The background is chalked with SU chalks and a stipple brush.

I'm entering this in Stamp Something- Digi something
and Paper Sundaes- 3 or more embellies ( flowers, ribbon and dew drops)

Little Winner

OK, have been witing to take a decent photo of the boy and his ribbon, but it just aint gonna happen so here is the gingaroo  with the ribbon he won last Sunday at an agility champ show!  First place, no faults and a really good, fast time! My boy is so clever!!!!!  Considering the grounds were a bog and we had mud up to our eyebrows, I didn't expect much of him, he doesn't even like getting wet, let alone muddy!
Brodie on the other hand, got into the ring and proceeded to lie down in the mud! Arrrgghh! And he was disqualified for not completing his round, he had nose to the ground , just too busy to listen to mum!

Moving house?

I found some cool images at Make it Crafty, and had so much fun colouring them! This is the boot-house. I used copics and added some glossy accents on the windows and door and drainpipe.  I've used my new Prima Fairy Flora 6x6 pad for this  card. Great that all these companies are starting to make 6x6 pads for us card makers!
Flowers are from WildOrchid, grungepaper swirl (coloured with DI) is a Tim Holtz die and I've added a few dew drops. Cardstock is SU, which I've distressed and inked with wild honey and weathered wood.  Sentiment is computer generated.
I'm entering this is the ABC challenge- distressing

Happy Birthday Doofus!

Its Brodie's birthday! Yippee!  Two today. I guess that means he's still got a lot of growing up to do! LOL! We've been out to club for a good run around and now the hairy ones are crashed around me while I sit here with my coffee.
It'll be meaty bones and ice cream for dessert tonight, for the dogs that is! We'll be lucky if we get beans on toast at the rate I'm moving today.  The girls at work asked for chocolate brownie bones for morning tea, they might just get a surprise as I have a bone shape muffin pan  and a large bone shape cake pan! ( and bone shaped cake sprinkles!!!!)  ROTFLMAO! Yes, I am obsessed !

The birthday boy, stressing out as usual!

Southern Girls first challenge at last!

Yes, its finally challenge time with the fabulous team at Southern girls! Go check out the challenge blog to see all the fab creations from half of the DT. Though I'm not officially posting on the DT this time ( we're taking turns) I've made a card anyway using images from one of this weeks fabulous sponsors, Wink Wink Ink!  We have scrapbookers as well as card makers so its inspiring to see how they've all incorporated the digi images into their cards and layouts. For NZ & Aus entrants, the prize is sponsored by Scrapbook Outlet.
I printed out the chair on DP and used copics to add some dimension. The paper is Scribble Scrabble, the flowers from Wildorchid Crafts and the sentiment and embellies from my extensive dog stash! The doggie I coloured to look like Riley, though I must say that he doesn't sit demurely like this on our couch...he goes nuts, throwing cushions off and burying his head down between the seat cushions! Little s..t!
The card is a Funky Fold card that I saw on Sue's blog, and followed back to a tutorial from there.

Another one already?

This must be a record....3 cards in a row for challenges and no DT cards!  This is my first attempt at digital paper-piecing and I think I might try it again!
This image is from Phindy and the paper I've used is BG Max & Whiskers. Fairly simple card, buttons out of my stash , SU cardstock and computer generated sentiment.  Coloured with copics and SU chalks ( yes, I actually used them again, great for outlines and backgrounds!). The stitching was done with my machine which decided to play up so some of it is a bit wonky!

Christmas in Summer

OK , its not summer here, its sposed to be spring but we're experiencing another cold wet day . Don't think I'll be heading out to training tonight!
Anyway, over at Phindy's Place the challenge is Christmas in Summer and I've used Jingle Bear from Phindys.  The paper I've used is Little Yellow Bicycle and the holly is MM ( from Trace's stash!) I coloured the image with copics, brushed the background with SU chalks ( yep, I dug them out and decided they must be used once or twice!!!!) and added stickles wherever I could. The white trim is from a local shop and the sentiment is SU.

I'm also entering this in Christmas Card Challenges  - Sparkle
