Brodie again!

I made another card yesterday with the Brodie dog cos its so cute! Brodie had visitors yesterday (well they actually came to see me but don't tell him that!)  and this is what he was doing! Then after the initial excitement is over , present them with a toy of course...play with me? Please?

We've actually got some sunshine today, and its hot and its humid .  A day of almost constant rain yesterday and everything is pretty damp.

Another doggie

Its been a very wet day here, though definitely not cold. The dogs got a run, then we retired to my craftroom to colour and throw some paper and stuff around...the result, a card or two!   I was given this image, from Kitty Lane to colour up, along with the happy brodie dog stamp, which I couldn't resist colouring again.
Anyway, I'm sorry I don't know what this image is called but its another cutie and these stamps can be ordered by contacting Fay .

A Simple card...

I know I don't do simple, just doesn't feel finished! LOL!  But this card is for an older man in our dog training club who has recently come out of hospital.   I was given this gorgeous doggie stamp from Kitty Lane stamps and knew immediately it would have to go on this card! LOL! It's BRODIE!!!!! Yep, even Tracy recognised him!

I used a mixture of copics, prisma pencils and my new polychromo pencils that just arrived.   I'm just drooling over the colour range of pencils I have now, but can see I need lots of practice. Might just have to spend ALL of my spare time colouring......LOL!

I'm getting distressed

For the challenge this fortnight at Southern Girls!   This was a quick card, and for the first time I have used a pre-coloured image! These little cuties are from Little Claire Designs, and I love the watercoloured look to them. Great for the challenge theme I thought.

The chipboard swirls are from MIC, the ribbon is from Linda the Funkie Junkie and the diecut is a Memory box die....did I tell you I love these dies? LOL!

I'm off work now for 2 weeks, to prepare for our Agility show, then have a holiday over in Hawkes Bay. And guess what, the weather is crap!  Rain, rain, more rain....it's been a non-existent summer this year , I'm feeling ripped off!

Spring Colours

The challenge at Make it Colourful is to use spring colours. How easy is that?    I coloured this cute image from Whimsy with prismas, made a card, took a picture, didn't like it, so I recoloured the image a bit to brighten it. The paper is from Prima, floral diecut is from Memory Box and flowers from my stash.

Now hop on over to the gallery to check out what everyone has been doing!

Shading Red

I took me ages to work up the courage to do a card for this challenge at Make it Colourful .  I have trouble with reds, they usually end up everywhere except where they are sposed to be! LOL!
I read a very useful blogpost about complimentary colours on Jane's blog so thought I'd give it a go. What it means is that to get the deep shadowing on the red I used a green copic marker!  So with my R21, R22, R24, R27, R59, I did the shading with G94.  And it works !!!!!  Can you tell its green? NO!!

I spent the day at a dog show today and took some cute pics of some of the doggies but this one is my favourite, wee puppy Siri checking me out! What a cutie face!

Happy Birthday Ma!

It was my mother's birthday earlier in the week so I thought I would send her a card, instead of just stockpiling them all! LOL! Isn't that why we make cards?!!!!!!
I had an afternoon playing with my pencils and have ordered some more, just wish they would hurry up and arrive......I'm hanging out for them!
This image is a cute stamp from Whimsy called Rose & Felix.

I have been a bad blogger lately, too busy with other stuff that just keeps intruding into my life....BAH! I'm having withdrawal symptoms so am going to have to set aside some ME time to play .

Thought I would share a pic of Brodie with his favourite toy he got from his best friend Solly at christmas time. I think it makes him look like a cheerleader with pom poms! LMAO!

Play with me!!!!!!!!!
