New Challenge

A new challenge blog started this weekend, called Stampin for the Weekend  and the first challenge is a card in purple and yellow.   Well I thought I'd pick some nice soft tones....EEEK ! Didn't mean to be quite so bright!  The yellow was a piece of prima paintables that I chopped off and sprayed with glimmermist then distressed to try and tone it down a bit ! ( I have to laugh though, our kitchen used to be these colours, and I mean bright!!)   At least I had some cute stray buttons  the same colour to use!  The image is a bella, that I've had for ages and never  used. And NO...I don't dye my poodles pink & purple! LOL!

Card and filigree brad are SU, braid , buttons & flower are from my stash

Hey Viv, there's nothing wrong with bright.....and from what I can see you did manage to tone it down as it doesn't look too bright to me. Love your big purple flower and the lace you used and the two buttons add a nice touch to it to finish it off. never seen this bella before though, and better the poodle be pink and purple than yellow...lol
Thank you for participating in the "Stampin' for the Weekend" challenge. Good luck and we hope you'll continue to join in on the challenges on a weekly basis. Have a great weekend.

Beautiful card, Viv! I love the cute image and your colouring. The flower is gorgeous and really stands out. I also love the ribbons and the buttons, what a great addition to everything.

lol that was funny that you don't dye your poodles in purple and pink, but that poodle in the image is really adorable with a bit of purple, I love it! :)

We hope you'll play along with us in the next challenge, too. :)

I love a bit of distressing but not used glimmer mist before, I've got some on order though and can't wait for it to arrive.
