A break at the beach...

Time to get away for a break so we offloaded Riley to my friend Marise with her tribe of poodles, put Brodie in jail and headed off with Vinnie in the Kombi for a couple of days at Waverley beach. Its quite a spectacular west coast beach and was a bit windy yesterday so the sea was rough but a perfect morning this morning. Would've bought Brodie too as its a dog friendly beach but he's still hard work and his recalls offlead aren't always reliable.  ( Vinnie sits in my arms and plays hairy baby so he doesn't count!LOL!)
 Had to take a motorbike to keep DH amused and he had fun blatting around. He even took Vinnie & I for a zoom along the beach and Vin loved it, in my arms tucked in behind his dad, his head peering over dad's shoulder , ears flapping in the wind!

But guess what I forgot to pack....half the food, my hairbrush and a sweatshirt! So a nice chilly morning meant I stayed curled up in my sleeping bag while breakfast was made for me...hehehe! Of course when I did get up, wearing several T-shirts and hair sticking up in all directions I wasn't allowed out in public! LMAO!

Backgrounds

This week the team at Make it Colourful are challenging you to colour your backgrounds whether it be with copics, pencils, chalks , distress inks, whatever!
I've used two Make it Crafty stamps " Peaches of Plenty" and "Crooked Picket Fence" which you can find HERE.   I've coloured these with copics, used the copics again to dot the grass, and for the sky, I've used my long neglected SU chalks which I find cover a large area really easily.

The paper is MME Stella Rose Mabel. The flowers are Doohickey die, and from my stash and the leaves are from the local florist. The gorgeous swirl is from Make it Crafty, one of Zoe's fab laser-cut chipboard flourishes. I've painted it with a copper paint dabber.

The paper I've used is the Pet Stack from DCWV and as its so busy, I kept it fairly simple. The bone is chipboard covered in distress crackle paint, and the sentiment is computer generated. The dog bowl charm is from my stash.....can't remember where I got it ......!! I added a bit of glossy accents on the bone and dog collar tag.

Mr Potatohead Strikes again!

I bought this kiddies couch for the poodles cos their old one fell to bits ( and the girls at work made me buy it!!!!!)  and Brodie ate the little beds .  Vinnie spends quite a bit of time on it and likes to stretch out on it .  However, Mr Potatohead aka Richard Cranium has decided he quite likes it too....just doesn't fit quite so well and can't move in case he falls off! LMAO! And he leaves blond hair on it!!!! You're not a poodle Brodie!!!!

Colour with Shine

This weeks challenge at Make it Colourful is to colour with shine.   I had already decided I wanted to use this cute Meljens Gruffy Little gnome from Whimsy,  so yep, this little dude is dressed in silk! Hahaha!   .

The paper I've used is BG Pyrus, flowers from WOC, laser cut chipboard swirls from Make it Crafty and random bling & charm.  The background mushroom stamp is also from Make it Crafty.
