I made a while ago, when I had some time to play with my prismacolour pencils. I got this gorgeous Crissy Armstrong stamp from Whimsy . The leaves are chipboard from MIC, paper is MME and lace is prima. I edged around the paper with distress crackle paint .

I'm entering this in Sundays with Crissy- Beat the midwinter blues. Well ,how else would you beat the midwinter blues? Snuggle up with you're bestest of course!

White on White! Ok and a splash of colour is allowed on your image. Dig out your embossing folders, diecuts, punches whatever and have a play with some texture on your cards and check out how good it looks!

I've used the cute Kitty Butts from Meljens, just cos it appealed to me. My dogs all like kitty butts, they like to clean Patrick's for him LMAO! I put these kitties in a Meljens frame I've had for ages.

No time for much this week and next week , I'm stuck at work full time...SUCKY!!!!! and am so knackered at the end of the day I can't be bothered and then when I go to sleep I'm dreaming about work! AAAAARRRGGGGHHHH! I hate that!

As I sat down to do this card and raced through, put the finishing touches on it, then realised I'd forgotten what the challenge was and my card wouldn't do!!!! Arrrrghhhh! You'd think I would learn, but NO! Anyway, second attempt and here it is, the Emerald Faerie Garden challenge which is to use Green & Yellow on your card ( for Australia day!) Create some grass

For the MIC challenge this fortnight we want you to create blades of grass on your project! Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy! You just have to check out the MIC gallery, the DT have gone and thrown themselves into this challenge!

Can't remember what the paper is but the images are all MIC and so are the cute little dragonflies. The corner diecut is a new Memory box die .

Poor little Riley had a seizure this morning.....think we might be taking it quietly for a while, no agility for him tomorrow. He's had one before about a year ago but bounced back. Fingers crossed for my little buddy......

Its so horrible here with a storm covering most of the North Island, and friends are off camping while I babysit one of their dogs......wouldn't be surprised if they pack up and head home. I would!

I decided I'd have a play with some images I've had for ages. First time in my craft room for ages! This adorable image is from Mo Manning. The paper is DCWV , the chipboard border is from Make it Crafty. Zoe has a fab new website for her images and chipboard and wonderful colouring card.

Well, I guess its not Christmas unless you overindulge! Got home last night and had salad and pasta . But tonight there is more ham, salads, new potatoes....and trifle....and more chocolate.....sigh!!!!!

Vinnie came with us to Papamoa to stay with the BIL & SIL cos he won't be left behind (but we left Riley with a house full of poodles and Brodie with his best buddie Solly and family). I almost died when I saw the 14 year old (middle) and 16 year old nieces (far left) ... they are both close to 6 feet tall and make my stepdaughter (far right holding her brother Vinnie!) look almost short ( she towers over me!)

Nephew tuckered out after opening all his loot.

and naughty Hattie who got in trouble for chasing the cats!

Hope everyone had a lovely christmas and now its back to work for some of us, then New Year !!! Yipee! Well, actually it'll be a very quiet New Year for us, DH will be on call so no drinking for him therefore no parties!!!!!

Late getting this post up, work has been CRAZEEEEEE this week and I'm shattered.....got home last night and crashed!

The new challenge at Southern Girls is " Celebration" and whatever that means to you.

My dogs will be celebrating lots of goodies for christmas so when I saw this gorgeous image from Di's Digi Downloads ( one of our sponsors for this challenge) , I had to use it of course! Its called Barney's Bone and makes me think of the one christmas I wrapped doggie chewy treats up then shut the cat in the same room with them only to find a couple of hours later that all the pressies had been ripped open and inspected by Patrick ! He was peeved as his pressie wasn't there with them!

The paper is several years old, from Little Yellow Bicycle . The gorgeous snowflake I got from Linda at The Funkie Junkie and the pearls from Quixotic Paperie.

Recolour an image

The new challenge at Make it Colourful is to recolour an image from earlier in the year. I made a pirate card months ago with Alvida the pirate but I was never really happy with the colouring. I kept seeing parts of her differently every time I looked at her! Same again this time! LMAO!

Anyway, I tried for better shading this time and I think I'm happier with this result!

Buttons & Ribbons

The new challenge at Little Miss Muffet is to use ribbons & buttons on your project. So I did my usual and coloured in, made the card, THEN thought about the challenge....arrrrgh! Luckily its easy enough to add ribbons and buttons! LOL! Too much rushing at the moment, with so much happening!

Anyway, I've used Allison & Abby and put them in a MIC background .

New Release!!!!!!

Yay! Its new release time again at Little Miss Muffet! I thought I'd be good and do two cards, one for each day of new releases, even though time is getting precious at the moment...but Duh! I used the two images for Friday instead so I have two cards for you tonight instead!

First is Agent Popcorn zipping. Yeehaaa! Looks like fun, I wanna go too!

Then of course we have the dreaded "boy card" which I find so hard to do. You can't load these ones with girly stuff. This is Bandit boy Tom and I love his froggie. Typical boy!

The DT have some gorgeous examples using these images over at the challenge blog, so pop on over and leave some love.

Now next job........I really need to write myself a list of things to do! I had a major panic thinking I didn't have time to finish another DT card, but realised I still have another week....phew!!!!!

Non traditional Christmas Colours

I'm rapidly losing track of what I'm up to at the moment, too much is going on! We had BIl & SIL stay last night and they've just headed off on their motorbike for a trip around South Island and I've been wandering around tidying up and thinking, what else do i have to do? Ummm, don't think anything is due.....CRAP! My post isn't even written for EFG, I've done the wrong image for my LMM card today and our internet is playing up majorly as our ISP is having "issues"! Can't check my emails .....grrrrrrr......

Anyway, I have a card done for EFG and we want some non-traditional christmas colours this time.

I've used paper from CC Mitten weather , sentiment from whimsy and a Marianne Die. The image is the gorgeous Willy & Mia from Emerald Faerie Garden.

I keep forgetting that Make it Colourful challenges have moved to Friday now....naughty me forgot to schedule a post! But I'm not too naughty, I made a card so I guess that's gotta count, somehow! LOL!

This week at Little Miss Muffet, the challenge is to make card to give thanks or show gratitude.

I picked the lovely Butterfly kisses from LMM and used a chair from MIC to seat her.

This has to be a record for me, a card made in less than an hour! I suddenly realised the other night that I hadn't done this card yet and wouldn't have a chance to, the rest of the week so I flew into my craft room, grabbed the paper nearest me and chopped! LOL!

I'm actually quite happy that it turned out alright!!!!!! and I really like these colours. The paper is MME A beautiful life.

Unfortunately this gorgeous wee fish would not be safe in our house. If the cat didn't get him ( he cleaned out the neighbours outdoor goldfish pond!!!!!!) , Brodie would! It moves, its mine , he says!

This is Gilgo from Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I've been dying to use this paper from MME for ages , I love these colours. The leaf flourish is a Marianne Die and I've cut it out of Ten second studio metal sheets for something different. I've edged around the whole card with Viva pearl pen in bronze.

I'm late, I'm late! I had trouble getting started on this card but finally finished it last night.

This fortnight at Make it Colourful we want you to use a candle or lantern as your light source. That means lots of shadows ! I totally mucked up the hat first time around so I printed it out again and cut the hat out and stuck it over the first! LOL! Why waste all the rest of the colouring? I can still see bits that annoy me but too bad, just don't look too closely please..... :(
The paper is Basic grey wassail again, I have lots! The snowflake chippies are from make it Crafty , and they are covered with Viva Decor Inka Gold.

Simplicity

Hmmmmmm....very hard for me I can tell you! This fortnight at Little Miss Muffet we have a new challenge for you- Simplicity. I really had trouble with this concept, so decided to go with this gift box for christmas and tried not to overload it with STUFF!!!!! I recycled this plastic box I had hanging around in the wilderness that is my craft room ...though I have to tell you I have SOOOOOOO much more room in there now that we got rid of the bed. Now I just need to get rid of the tent leaning in the corner that we can't find a home for!!!!!!!!

I coloured up the gorgeous little doggie called Mitten from Little Miss Muffet

The paper band is basic grey wassail, the poinsettias from Wild Orchid Craft, the white star is a Marianne Die. The gorgeous leaves and silver star ribbon stuff are from Denise THANK YOU DENISE!!!!!

Anyway I stuffed this with Christmas marshmallows temporarily..... oooops, they're gone now....I needed a sugar fix..

So I have lots of doggy friends, and they like getting doggy-themed christmas cards...so guess what I'm busy with at the moment? Duh!

This time around I've made a christmas card using Basic Grey Wassail which I love even if it is old! It came with matching chipboard which I've used on this card as well. The poinsettia is a Marianne Die and the snowflake and sentiment are from Whimsy Stamps.

A bit of Texture

Is what we're looking for at Make it Colourful this fortnight. We want to see how you COLOUR texture ie how you would draw cloth, grass, fur etc . I found this cute little cat & doggie digi at Tiddly Inks and put them in front of one of the new winter scenes called Simple Winter Scene from Make it Crafty.

First I coloured the dog and cat with copics, then went over with prisma pencils for the fine fur look.
I found this paper tucked away...well buried actually, under a ton of paper! Its Bo Bunny Midnight Frost collection and its yummy! I distressed the edges then painted them with crackle paint. The sentiment is stamped onto acetate then stuck over DP .
The Dt at Make it Colourful has done a fab job with this challenge, go check out the gallery now.

Clouds....

Well I wish we had nice fluffy clouds like this, instead its grey and dull outside. I'm sick of spring and its extreme swings in temperature too. Roll on summer!

This week the challenge at Little Miss Muffet is to add clouds to your project. I put Melanie on a bench with a background from MIC and drew in the clouds freehand. I have tried using a template and sponging ink on but find freehand scribbling works for me! LOL! The amazing Annika has a tutorial on colouring skies the messy way HERE .

Have had a few days to myself this last week and I decided rather than get stuck in and clean the house...I was gonna play instead! Housework is evil!!

I bought this Chrissy Armstrong stamp from Whimsy a while ago and she's finally been inked. I used a light blue ink , to give the "no-lines" effect and it took AGES to colour! And I'm peeved that the mushie looks streaky...hmmmmmph! I don't like the colouring at all!!

Anyway, slapped lots of gesso around , slapped the card together and shoved it away in a box! So there! LOL!

Tonight we have the second two images of this weeks release at Little Miss Muffet stamps .
I've used Agent Popcorn Aiming on this card and I love the colours of this paper! Its from Sassafras Lass but can't remember the name sorry.....

The gorgeous swirls are from Whimsy , I've used some muslin with some paint slapped on and Viva pearls. A bit of distressing and here it is!

Meet Button, your xmas gift kitty from Little Miss Muffet! Yep, time start be getting your christmas cards ready, though I know some people started months ago! LOL!
I've used non-traditional colours for this card for a change. The paper is Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather and Kaisercraft Christmas carnival and I painted the distressed edges with gesso. . I've also painted some chipboard snowflakes from MIC then sprinkled them with polar white flowersoft while they are still wet. The big snowflake is a whimsy die, and the sentiment is from Whimsy also. I used a MS icicle punch and covered the icicles with stickles.

Polka Dots & Stripes

The Southern Girls challenge for this fortnight is to use stripes and spots. Well, that was easy, NOT! Finding spotty and stripy paper that matched....well I had to go back to my huge pile of SU paper and yes Lou, you've seen this stuff before! LOL! I have a huge box of papers that I just can't be bothered using up......sigh.....its so much more fun to buy new stuff and use that instead!
Anyway, I coloured up this gorgeous hanglar girl for the first time since I bought her months ago. Yeh, yeh, I know, really slack but at least she's seen ink, so many of my rubber stamps haven't yet!

The hessian and white corrugated card arrived in my parcel from The Funkie Junkie last week and I couldn't wait to play with them. Linda has so many cool and different items in her etsy shop!
The gorgeous chipboard corners are from MIC and I don't know what I'd do without those goodies now!

Now on a sad note, we are losing 3 DT members from Southern Girls who have been with us since the beginning. We're gonna miss you Alicia, Karen & Sue!

This fortnight's challenge at Make it Colourful is all about colouring snow. I've used B0000 and BG0000 and CO and C1 on my snow . The fab background is Cold by Light from MIC and I've also used Gingerbread dance. I didn't have a Tilda suitably dressed to sit on the bench.... :( The papers are kaisercraft Dear Santa. The snowflakes are punched and stickled. The sentiment is from CatsLife Press.

This week's challenge at Make it Colourful is to colour sheer clothing...I think I went overboard!!!!!! She should have something more substantial on under that blouse! LOL!

I've used some Websters paper, my new wreath die from Memory box ( LOVE it!!!!) , chipboard butterflies from MIC and some pearls to finish.

From this challenge onwards, Make it Colourful challenges will be fortnightly....gives you more chance to play with techniques and join in the challenges! Yay! And once a month there will be a special challenge also.

Barbara has been busy again this week and has 4 new images for this release from Little Miss Muffet. I've only had time to make one card but I'm happy with this one, it just came together easily. I've made an easel card, with some yummy papers from memory Box.

The big white flower I made from crinoline ( from The Funkie Junkie Etsy shop) cut with sizzix dies and scrunched up and held together with a fab brad from SU.

I've used the gorgeous Megan from Little Miss Muffet Stamps and put her on a bench from MIC and the tree is also from MIC.

Anyway, I had this yummy paper from Websters Pages so it was no hard decision what to use, I love thses colours. The xmas tree is a Marianne Die, the snowflakes are lasercut chipboard from MIC covered with frosted lace stickles. The sentiment is from Catslife Press.

Its time for the Make it Colourful challenge again and this week we want you to use orange and black. Well, with all the spooky backgrounds and gorgeous halloween characters Zoe has released recently this was an easy scene to create!

I've used this soooo cute Mini Dracula and put him into the Spooky Graveyard . The card is pretty simple, just some scary branches and black mesh and a couple of bats I cut out and popped up.

This week at Little Miss Muffet Challenges, we want to see your winged things! I've used the sweet Butterfly Kisses and seated her on the Whimsical Log background from MIC. The paper is Prima. I didn't want to cover too much of the paper, I love it!

I was late finishing this, and I hate being late, but I've been cuddling my wee boy Vinnie. He is now officially a gummi bear! No teeth!! At all! None! Hi ya everyone! Its another Make it Colourful challenge tonight and we want you to colour with purple. And for those of you who haven't heard, the challenges are now being posted in the Make it Crafty Gallery, to make it easier us to check out your gorgeous entries.
Once again I dug out my BG Wisteria paper and tried to match my purples to those on the paper. And her hair had to be that shade to blend her in completely! LOL!

No Lines?

No black lines is the the challenge this week at Make it Colourful and this is the first time I've tried it, though the facebook group have been playing around with this technique for a few weeks. I used a light ink to stamp Tilda, (London Fog Memento) , stamped off on paper first to remove some of the colour , then stamped on card. The Mushroom background was altered in photoshop by reducing the transparency to about 20%. Difficult to colour? Certainly more challenging and you do need to think about it a lot more, we really rely on those lines. It helps to have a copy of the image in full strength to follow when you get lost! LOL!

The background is Whimsical mushroom from MIC and the chippie dragonflies are also MIC and I love these beasties for embellishing , they seem to go with so many things.

The paper is BG Wisteria and cardstock is SU river rock .

A hard one for me this week, I've never done a sunset before and this was my third attempt, the first two going into the rubbish !!!!Still not 100% happy and would do it differently next time but, hey, its a sunset!! Little Miss Muffet time and some new releases for you!!! The first card I've made is using the cute little summer Monkey which I coloured with copics. The paper is MME and SU , the beaded embelly is prima and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.

This fortnight at Southern Girls we're picking some different decades and seeing what we can come up with. The sponsors are Kenny K and Tickled Pink.

I've used a Kenny K image called SuperMom and she is just SOOOOO 1950's ! I've matched her up with a retro kitchen background from Make it Crafty, and I'm sure a lot of those kitchens survived longer than the decade..in fact I think the kitchen in our house when we bought it was from the 50s, and guess what, we ripped it out ASAP!
The paper is BG nook & pantry and I've used flowers, ribbon and doily from my stash.

Colour some ground

For the Make it Colourful challenge this week we want to see some ground coloured . OK , so I've gone overboard here and plonked Alyssa in a sea of weeds! LOL! It's the cottage garden look, with a few random flowers and unmown grass!

I haven't coloured the Slimy house before and I'm pleased with that and the cobblestone path but Alyssa's wings look overpowering, I got carried away adding colour with the prisma pencils as I didn't like what I started with.....don't like what I ended with either!!!! And the glitter looks odd in this pic.... at least the dragonflies look gorgeous.....

This week in the Little Miss Muffett Challenge . The DT have out-done themselves this week with some fantabulous combinations , go check them out!

For my card I've used the gorgeous Bailey and Butterfly kisses, and put them together with two backgrounds from MIC as well. I coloured with copics and prisma pencils and added chalk to the background. The paper is DCWV Rustic.

I used sentiments from Whimsy, Tim Holtz die, hand-dyed seam binding and the flower is made from die cut petals covered in crackle accents. Pat the Cat helped me with these petals.... the naughty ginger walked over them while they were still wet and of course I lost two, stuck to his paws! He looked so funny trying to shake them off ! PMSL!

Shaking at the knees...

Cos I had trouble with this challenge. Over at Make it Colourful we want you to colour an object that looks wet. Not shiny....wet! I watched a few you-tube tutorials including this one HERE on how to add dew/water drops and think I finally managed a few that don't look tooooooo bad! LOL!

Now don't look too closely, but I actually coloured this image with prismas instead of copics, then added my dew drops with a white gel pen. Not my best effort but I guess it's all about practicing ........

Is the challenge over at Make it Colourful this week. Not one of my go for colours so I had a play with some different shades and ended up mixing so many on Tilda's shirt that I can't remember what I used!

The background images are Tree of Love and Park bench for two, from Make it Crafty. I've used chipboard corners from MIC also. The paper is Prima Botanicals and the leaf swirl is a Marianne Die with some stickles slapped on. Cardstock is SU .

I used to LOVE swings as a kid, what is it about them? Anyway this month I'm guest DTing for Little Miss Muffett Stamps and Barbara has let me play with the gorgeous little Riley ( OK, the name really sold me on this image! Hehehe!) this week for the challenge which is " Outside the diecut". Woohoo! Never actually tried one of these before and had to frantically google some tutorials on how to do it , and its easy peasy!
I hung Riley from Peaches of plenty, from Make it Crafty.

I used BG Out of print paper, coloured with copics, sentiment from CatsLife Press, made the organza flower and the rest is from my stash.

Easy one for you this week at Make it Colourful. Add some colour or change the colour of your embellishments. On this card I've used Mushroom House and hilly lane along with a hanglar girl I've had for a while . I've used copics on the sentiment, crackle paint on the chipboard and distress inks and copics on the flower which looks very orange here but is more yellow irl! Its true! LOL!

Cos its time for a new colour! A New challenge at Make it Colourful and we want to see some different colour hair ( other than red/blonde, black, brown) ! I immediately thought GREEN!!! Then I thought BLUE!!!! Couldn't decide....so I went blue/green instead! LOL!

I've used the gorgeous Sitting Annalise from Make it Crafty, and merged her with the background Rise & Shine, also from MIC.

I've painted the chipboard filigree jewel from MIC with gesso and stuck on a dew drop. The paper is MME Stella Rose Mabel.

Together they have been craftily plotting behind the scenes for months (making us drool in anticipation) to bring you a fabulous collection of Steampunk creations with a Victorian theme! You’ll find little steampunk houses, bits and bobs background scenes, flying contraptions, gorgeous characters and the finest selection of digital papers!

We could send you on a little hop, but they are getting a bit boring... so we knocked our heads together and thought up a game to play instead!

I've used the new steampunk Metal-shroom house from Make it Crafty and Priscilla from Tiddly Inks. Aren't they just so cool?!!!!

The cogs/gears are chipboard from Make it Crafty also, covered with copper paint and stickles on some.

The paper is Graphic 45 Steampunk which I've had for ages and never had any suitable images to go with it...no stopping me now! LOL! The filmstrip is Tim Holtz and the little metal clock parts from Art of Craft.

I've used an image from The Paper Shelter which I bought last week . I actually made two cards , as I've had a request for 20 cards and its time I got cracking ( they want 6 boy cards too.....now that will be hard! EEEK) but the second is undergoing renovations....I'm not happy with it.....

Paper is BG Kioshi, with gesso on the edges, some cheesecloth, butterflies from Make it Crafty, ticket sentiment from Emerald Faerie garden and the gorgeous ribbon I bought from a local quilting shop ages ago and couldn't bring myself to use it!

Yahoo!!! We had a huge weekend, 13 hours on Saturday and 10 hours on Sunday and I was so knackered Saturday night I came home, had a shower and went to bed , totally forgot about food.
Riley and Vinnie ran well, Vin seems to be running faster again, I guess his mouth isn't sore so he's happy to go for it. Brodie got left at home as I didn't have time to run some energy off him before trying to run a course...poor baby....at least he got a walk with his dad on Sunday and Solly came around for a play on Monday while I was at work.

Janie sent me this pic from training on Friday, Riley is bouncing along here yapping away he's so happy! LOL!

Now onto my card , where I have attempted to merge as many MIC digi images as I could. Ok, my first attempt had so many in it I would've been able to wallpaper my craftroom with it so I had to cut it back to a manageable size. guess I won't win the prize for the most images merged now..... : (

Ever have one of those weeks when

nothing goes your way? I'm having so much fun ,NOT! trying to recover lost digi downloads , photos etc as our brand new computer poo-ed itself over the weekend. Apparently they call it infant mortality in the electronics business. If the hard drive is going to fail, it usually happens in the first six months, so we got the cot death of computers! Bah!!! Of course, being new, I hadn't bothered yet to do an external backup anywhere....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

The good news is that Vinnie is feeling much better and is almost his old self again. Check up on Friday and fingers crossed we wont have this problem again.

And my little gingernut Riley did so well at the agility champ show over the weekend. He got faster and more confident with every run. Three clear round certificates with a 5th place, a 6th place and an 8th. Go the Ginga! Howvere, we wont talk about Brodie, as one of the judges said to me...." He's a typical goldie , they are BLONDE!" She's allowed to say that, she has two of them! LMAO!

OK, blue mushrooms and blue hair? Well, its possible I'm sure!!!!!

This weeks challenge at Make it Colourful is to use blue , with other colours. We are sponsored by Tiddly Inks and I've used the gorgeous Briar - Dogs R Fun and merged it with Make it Crafty Mushroom house .

I've used Make it Crafty chipboard for the flower centre, the butterfly and the leaves. I love these leaves!

Around the edges I used distress crackle paint , a magnolia label die, a heart cut with my silhouette, SU sentiment and hand dyed seam binding. The flower is made with crinoline and tulle, dyed with distress inks. The paper is MME Stella Rose Hattie and I love these colours !

I'm absolutely shattered after working all week, and stressing about poor wee Vinnie the Poo. He has recurrent infections in his jaw so had to have four teeth pulled out under anaesthetic yesterday after an xray to find the problem spots. Poor baby is so sore, he cried quite a bit during the night, even with pain relief, wouldn't eat yummy soft food offered last night and all day today. I did manage to feed him some cat food off a spoon tonight so I think he must be starting to feel better! He'll probably insist on cat food now! LOL! Hopefully tonight we might get some sleep........

Just back from a fantabulous weekend at a Dog Training conference with some amazing speakers and I'm all inspired about how I'm going to fix my problems ! LMAO! Met some great people, spent lots of money , now I'm not looking forward to a whole 4 days of work! EEEK!

I was asked a while ago to make a card for a friend's auntie who loves turtles. That was the only direction I got....hmmmm.....but luckily I had this cool image from Crissy Armstrong so I managed to make her a card which she apparently loved.

Bling it!!!

Its a new challenge over at The Emerald Faerie Garden Challenge blog and we are challenging you to BLING it! How easy is that! I've used the darling Ebony from The Garden Emerald Faerie ( Deb's Creations) .

I have to admit this card went through several transformations. Gorgeous paper but what i first put together was so horrendous I almost keeled over in shock! EEEEKKKK! LMAO!

Anyway, after much ripping of paper and gnashing of teeth I managed to alter it enough that I didn't feel too embarrassed to show it in public. Why is it that what you see in your head to start with turns out nothing like you imagined?

So, the paper is Kaisercraft Gyspy Sisters, and the tag comes in a sheet at the back of the pad with other designs. I just stamped on to it .

The corner flourishes are from Make it Crafty , covered in stickles , with no help from the cat this time. The gorgeous lacy ribbon I bought goodness knows where, and the

eyelet was added with a crop-a-dile thingamijiggy.

Two colours I don't use together a lot and from the sounds of things, my teamies found it hard going too. But we made it! This weeks challenge at Make it Colourful is to use yellow and purple together on your card. Why don't you give it a go....go on...YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO!!!!!

Just quickly posting a card made for a friend's mother a few weeks ago to give to her granddaughter. Only specifications were it had to be feminine!!! I used some K & Co paper and this cute Tickled Pink image, lots of flowers and stickles! The lace is from WOC.

The new release of digis and rubber stamps over at Make it Crafty are sooooo cute! We've been hanging out to play with these babies and this weeks challenge at Make it Colourful is to colour a water scene so its perfect!

I've used Miss Charlotte layered with the Tropical Waterfall background. And yes, Shirl will probably tell you I had fun colouring this... I was blindly colouring what I thought were big leaves and EEEEEK ! It was part of her headscarf. Can you tell? Huh? I think I saved it ......just....

Then I stickled the chipboard corners and dropped one on the cat's back. He now has a lovely patch of stickles and my card has some additional ginger hairs attached! LMAO!

The paper is Prima, the flower and leaves are a Marianne Die and the seam binding I coloured with Soot Distress Ink. The butterflies are from MIC also , and I've used glossy accents over the stickles on these.

Howdy doody! Its a crazy autumn Saturday here and we've had blinding sunshine and heavy rain, but at least its still warm! Worse is to come......shudder!!!!

This weeks challenge at Make it Colourful we want you to use dots to colour your background. I've used copics to colour my image which is a cutie digi from Crissy Armstrong ( who is our sponsor this week) , called Nose to Nose. And yes , its cute cos it has a wee doggie in it about to slobber all over her face! I've merged it with the MIC Timber top ridge setting.

I've used Prima Raspberry tea paper, with hand-dyed ( using distress inks) seambinding, a WOC flower, a magnolia die flower painted, then added crackle accents. The metal strip is from Ten Second studio which I've had for ages but hardly played with.....so many toys, so little time! Sigh.....

The chipboard corner from MIC is coloured with copics then coated in distress stickles.

I was sent these Whiff of joy stamps by the lovely Deb of Deb's Creations a while ago and decided it was time to have a play colouring them and practise some folds.
The paper is MME Bella Bella, with weathered wood distress crackle paint around the edge. The die cut is Marianne D Creatable and the ribbon is seam binding dyed with Tea dye distress ink.
I got the gorgeous butterflies , the flower buds and the crinoline to make the flower from my lovely friend Linda, The Funkie Junkie who has sourced lots of lovely lace, appliques and other gorgeous vintage bits and pieces and sells them in her etsy shop. Linda also has several fab tutorials HERE and HERE on making the flowers on her blog.
I used weathered wood distress ink to dye the crinoline. I need another sized die to cut the crinoline to make a fuller flower i think! Doesn't help that I somehow squashed it all up before taking the pic! Arrrrggghh! Too lazy to take another pic though so you'll just have to pop over to Linda and see what they're sposed to look like! LMAO!

Its time for the first Emerald Faerie Garden challenge! Woohooo! And ANYTHING goes!!!!!
These babies are such fun to work with, and they are available from Debs Creations.

I used paper from DCWV Mariposa stack, lace and flowers from my stash, the butterfly is covered in german glass glitter.
The swirls are from Make it Crafty, painted then stickled . The tag is a Magnolia die, and I stamped it with a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps.

Hellooooo! I've been at work all week so not much colouring done. Did manage to finish my card for the Make it Colourful Challenge which is to colour with blacks/greys and a splash of red. This weeks sponsor is Tiddly Inks and we've been given some brand new images to do some sneaky peekies for you. I don't even know what this couple is called yet! LMAO! I've used the hidden forest seat from make it Crafty which you can find HERE.

I've used copic colours NO, N1, N3, N5, N7, N9 for him, W0, W1, W3, W5, W7 for her and the vines are W1, W3 and E43 for some colour .
The red range is R30, R32, R35, R37, R59.
The chipboard embellies and flowers are from Make it Crafty, the button and ribbon from my stash.

Easter Frog?

I had a request before Easter to do an easter card with a frog on it....? Duh? And guess what? I found images of Easter frogs at The Graphics Shoppe !!!!
I actually removed the colouring in order to colour to suit the paper I used which is DCWV Citrus Stack. The beads from my stash are threaded onto copper wire , also from my stash. I threw this together very quickly and the colouring isn't the best but anyhoo....
